Is the Carnival Paradise a good ship?

I'm going on the Carnival Paradise next week and I just want your thoughts on it

Answer :
It is a very nice ship for being older (1998) and the food is pretty good. It is no longer a non smoking ship although the smoking is limited to a few places. If you have time, check out www.cruisecritic.com They have a ship review, member reviews and there is a board where you can talk to people going on the same cruise as you. Enjoy!

Answer :
Yes, it is a great ship. We cruised from Miami to the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico on it a few years ago. The Paradise is the ONLY non-smoking cruise ship, and Carnival was told it would never work, but the Paradise is constantly full. We loved it, and you can tell the difference between this ship and ships that allow smoking.

Carnival goes out of its way to make sure their guests have a great time. Enjoy your cruise; I wish we were cruising again this summer.

Answer :
We were on this liner November last year and we had fun. The food was great. The service was excellent when we had dinner in the formal dining room. The staff is great. Don't hesitate to tip the persons who made your trip worthwhile. Still don't understand why the maitre'd gets a separate tip when all I saw him do was stand in front of the entrance and welcome the diners. I guess privilege really comes with rank. Anyhow, we made sure our regular waiters got something extra from us , more than what we gave the maitre'd. After all they were the ones who really made our trip enjoyable with their excellent service.

Answer :
Although an older ship, has alot to offer. Food is excellent and entertainment is unbeatable. You will have a great time, trust me.

What is their to do for a 17year old on a carnival paradise cruise

What is their to do for a 17year old on a carnival paradise cruise

Answer :
i'm 17 and i went on the carnival liberty in may it was really fun and i left with 14 friends and we even have our own facebook group. anyway. they have this thing called "club 02" it's for 15-17 only so you won't have the babies with you and they plan activities and have their own spot with a club where you can meet and chill and dance (if ya wanna i guess) and yeahh. usually the first night they stick a list outside your door in the mailbox that says the day's activities and it'll say like "02 meet and greet" at 4:00 or something along those lines... i found 02 to be kinda lame but i met tons of people that way so i'd recommend going the first night. just treat it like a party, sit down next to someone and introduce yourself... other than that, well there's the pools and the hot tubs, and the hangouts and whatever else. p.s: don't even try asking the baratenders to serve you... unless you are a guy and look about 24 they card.

hope this helped :)

Answer :
you'll find plenty to do on the cruise...probably more then you would right there at your home and near your home.

They'll post a notice in your cabin telling you where the singles / teen club meets that evening and will have all types of games and dances for you guys to play that evening....you'll meet lots of people your own age there. Just attend so you can make friends on the first night.

You're going to have a blast. Trust me.

Answer :
They have these fun club type things for people age 16-18 and you meet tons of people yur age girls and boys. They play fun games for people your age and maybe even spin the bottle??? lol but you can take part in whichever games you want and they have computers and a virgin bar with soda and v. pina coladas and all that stuff. Hope i could help!!!! and of course there is the pool and hot tbs...

ciao

Answer :
Get your shirt off if you're a guy or a good bikini if your a hot gal and go to the poolside
you'll have a ball there and will meet many people you want to spend the rest of your cruise with maybe a charmer of the opposite sex

Has anyone ever been on the Carnival Paradise ship? How did you like it?

Was the nightclub fun?

Answer :
Yes my wife and I went for our 25th anniversary. The sex was great ! No kids , no cell phones they wouldn't work. The food was great the first few days then it got old. My wife loved the shopping. We had a great time in the casino. There is a toppless deck you know.

Answer :
Hey desert, Is this your first cruise?

I answered the question about the alcohol for ya.

All of the Carnival boats are basically the same. They look the same inside and the layout is basically the same on each boat. The big difference is that each boat has a different theme.

Don't worry about the club. If you don't like one you can always find another. The cruise I took a couple of weeks ago was a Carnival and it wasn't my first. I hit every bar and club on the boat. They have a piano bar, a karaoke bar a violin bar a disco. You name it they have it.

Just get on the boat with your liquor bubble wrapped and in zip lock bags, make your self a drink and hit the pool. By the time the sun sets on your first night you will realize that you are having more fun that you thought.

The sad thing is that before you know it, you have to come back home.

Go to Carnival.com and take the virtual tour. It will get you started for your cruise.

Answer :
Yes it was fun I just didn't like the company I kept. Keep that in mine if you are traveling with someone.

Answer :
The Carnival Paradise was a very nice ship, but the cruise we were on didn't seem very lively. They didn't have as many activities as we'd had on other cruises -- it seemed like they thought the non-smokers were not partiers, so they didn't have all the games I've seen on other ships. Over-all I was disappointed with that, but otherwise the ship and food and ports were all very nice.

Answer :
yes loved the cruise and the crew were great. having to tip everyone at the end was not good so pay the tips in advance upon boarding. Night life was great.
