1st time cruiser...which deck should I stay on via the Carnival Paradise?

I'm planning on going on a cruise in Febuary. The cruise line is Carnival Paradise. Anybody have experiences cruising on this line? Also, which deck should I stay on that would be the most convenient and less noisy. I'm also on a budget....

Answer :
As a long time cruiser, I advise you to book the cheapest inside cabin you can get with a guarantee (you pay that price and may get a better cabin). Not to worry about the deck as you will not be in the cabin very much anyway.

The most seasoned cruisers learn to book the cheapest cabins and use the money for other things. As to the budget thing, do not buy drinks of any kind, do not book a shore excursion on the ship (do it ashore if you feel the need). I just stay on board in port and enjoy the private yacht! Most ports are not worth the money or trouble.

Answer :
The deck doesn't matter that much. If you're prone to seasickness, you might want to be on a lower deck and also stay away from the ends of the ship. You'll feel less movement in the center. Check the deck plans on carnival.com. You'll want to avoid being located in a cabin directly below public areas. Also, avoid being just beside the elevators because people using them at 7 in the morning don't care if you're trying to sleep.

At any rate, you probably won't spend all that much time in your cabin. There's just too many fun things to do around the ship.

Have a great trip!

Answer :
I advice you to go to Carnivals website and look at the deck list for your specific ship.
All the ships are different because of the number of decks they have.
Anyways, stay one under the lido deck.
The lido deck is the deck with the pool, and all the buffet.
So all you have to do is walk up one set of stairs to lay out in the sun, and eat :)
This is where we were and loved it!

Answer :
Well, if your on a budget-the more inexpensive deck will be the Riviera deck. Thats the one lowest on all Carnival ships. If you can spend some more money, you can get on one of the upper decks. Actually, the upper deck (deck 3) is nice because theres nothing that would create noise above you.

Hope I helped!

Answer :
I just sailed the Paradise in July of this year

we were very happy in cabin M158 (interior, midship)

DO NOT get a cabin in the back, it'll feel like the ship is hitting every pothole in the ocean

Answer :
Book the guarantee inside cabin as you are not usually in your cabin except to sleep etc. Since it is not a long voyage to a more $ destination like europe or hawaii than inside is fine
