Booked Cruise to Carnival, Paradise - No Insurance - So no refund... what to do?

my husband saw that show on CBS 2 last night (60 mins or 48 hr mistery) about that girl that was found dead on her cabin. the problem is we are booked on the same exact cabin she was found dead! (Deck Riviera = #149) - i called carnival and said they are booked for all that cruise. i can either take my chance to go and get a different cabin (and not guarantee) but my boyfriend insist to go now. What would u do?

Answer :
Is it really such a big deal? Would you be distraught to know that just about every hotel room in america has had a death in it at one time or another?

People die, so what, she died in her cabin. The Cruise Lines have gone way down in quality over the last 10 years. I'd be more worried about food poisoning or getting off somewhere and having it leave without me more than some dead chick that died in the cabin I'm staying in. It might even be a little creepy-cool.

The amount of kidnappings, and deaths from people being thrown overboard are way up there in number too. People just "vanish" and are presumed dead. It's nothing new, the cruise lines just work to keep these incidents quiet.

And I'm sure she isn't the first one to die in a cabin on one of those ships.

Answer :
Maybe you three (Husband, boyfriend and you) can share this room. It's cheaper that way. I hope there is no bloody shed this time in Deck Riviera#149....

Answer :
Stand your ground for another cabin. If no luck, go to the next highest person in their hierarchy and state your case.

Answer :
Interesting-----your husband saw the program, and your boyfriend wants to go ahead and take the cruise. How does your husband feel about this? I take it he is going to be left at home, while you and your boyfriend go on the cruise.

Go and forget about the room----you are acting silly.

Don't you take out insurance on your trips? It would probably not cover this situation, but, people should always take out insurance.

Answer :
I would go. Just because it WAS her cabin does not make it unsafe for you.
