How is Carnival Paradise to Ensenada in December?

Hi, We are cruising for first time. We want to take Carnival Paradise in Dec 08. Can you tell me how will be ride? Is it bumpy and we get sea sickness?

And how will be the weather Christmas time in Ensenada?

Any suggestions on Carnival Paradise?

Thanks for your answers.

Answer :
Been there early November on Carnival Paradise and it was already cold in Ensenada. Probably much colder since it's already December. Carnival Paradise was smooth. Occasionally we felt the ship rock because of the waves but it was no cause for concern. You will be greeted in Ensenada by the biggest Mexican flag you'll ever see. Take a tour to the Bufadora(Blowhole). They say there are only three of these in the whole world. One in Australia. I forget the other one. Paid about 15$ for the 45 minute ride to the blowhole. Lots of shops on the way as you walk to the blowhole. They will let you stay for a few hours to shop or eat then it's back to the ship. Some went to the town proper afterwards to booze up in the cantinas around and do some shopping. Lots of cheap beer around but you can't take them aboard if you buy. When you board the ship again, they will ask you to leave the alcohol with them for safekeeping, to be given back when you disembark. Be sure to book your dinner at 6 pm. We thought it wasn't a wise idea eating dinner early but after seeing the next batch(830pm) waiting in line outside the Elation Dining Hall every night, no regrets. You will enjoy your dinner always. The waiters see to it that you don't leave the hall dissatisfied. If you are happy with the way you were served, don't hesitate to leave your waiters a fine tip on your last night aside from the 10$ per day you were assessed when you booked your cruise. You will always get the same staff to look after you every time you dine. Oh, yes. The food you will be served will be superb. Be sure to try the prime ribs. The meat literally melts in your mouth. And that chocolate melt dessert. If you get hungry at the wee hours, the pizza bar is open 24/7 at the Lido Deck restaurant. 12 midnight, they open a snack bar where you can get burgers and hot dogs and fries, etc. till about 2 am. BTW, no free booze on this cruise ship. Even sodas are not free. At any rate, you will have a grand time on your cruise. Take my word for it. Worth your money.

Answer :
I haven't been on that particular cruise, but I have cruised on the Paradise before, and I believe that it is my favorite ship thus far. Of course, the best thing about it was that it is non smoking!

We left out of Puerto Rico and did a seven day to san juan, st. thomas, aruba, etc. and never had a lick of trouble with sea sickness. In fact, out of all my cruises (7, all with Carnival), I have only gotten sea sick once - one night out of 5 on the Sensation, which is tiny in comparison and therefore much less stable (plus we went through a major storm that night- so bad that one of the dancers fell off the stage from the boat rocking!).

If you are really worried about getting sick though, invest in some sea bands and Dramamine for extra insurance that you'll have a great trip!

Answer :
well it's no longer a nonsmoking ship but that is a fun cruise. lot's to do and not much time to do it in. the seas should be not too bad and the weather will be cool to cold at night. go to all the shows and eat in the dinning room as often as you can.. stay away from the inch of "junk" gold or silver. use the room service and use it often. it's free !!
